![]() ![]() ![]() Plus it helps that 5's combat and gameplay feels way better than 3. Only because at some point, you have to suffer through a section to get to the good part. Playing through DMC3 is basically me going, "This game is fucking dope!" to eventually, "Jesus fucking Christ, get me out of this fucking tower and just let me fight Vergil and be done with it."Īs a whole, I prefer 5 over 3 despite thinking that 3's story is slightly better. And honestly, the visuals of 3 got really fucking stale because of how long we stay in the tower, but I think that's my issue with how 3 actually looked. 5 has more replay value just cause while the environments aren't interesting, the level design is at least different in every level i.e you aren't backtracking. Plus, they're all bosses you never fought with V so it has a unique take on it. ![]() Yes, 5 also has a boss rush for V, but the thing is that the bosses die incredibly quick and it's only three. I dread it everytime and it makes the game hard to replay simply cause it is just backtracking for a good chunk. I'd have to disagree, I think that the level design of the last third of the game is a slog, not to mention the mini boss rush they force you into. ![]()
